Your Hosts
Today, Hotel Angelika is already run by the third generation with great dedication and passion. What was once built up by Friedl and Annemarie Stern with great effort and love has been continued and shaped by Florian Stern together with his wife Karin. Today, two of their three daughters are also part of the family business – and thus the tradition of hospitality lives on in a very special way.

Authentic. Warm.
Family-oriented.
Florian is the perfect contact person for all activities in the Stubai Valley and inspires with his tips and humor – true to the motto: “Above 1000 m above sea level, we’re on a first-name basis.”
Karin is the good soul of the house. With a keen eye for detail, she creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. Anyone who meets her quickly realizes: conversations with her are also characterized by warmth and genuine attentiveness.
The youngest daughter, Magdalena, is responsible for the culinary highlights. She learned her craft from her father but brings her own passion and creativity to the table. With great dedication, she conjures up dishes that delight our guests.
Patricia primarily works at the reception, keeping everything organized there. At the same time, she is flexible throughout the house – from breakfast and the kitchen to preparing evening service.
Together, the Stern family is like a well-oiled machine, where everyone has their place – and yet all are united by one thing: genuine, heartfelt hospitality.
The best feeling
in the Stubai Valley for us?
Anyone who has stood high on a summit, felt the silence, heard only the wind, seen the clouds within reach, and the untouched nature before them – they know what we mean: This feeling of freedom, vastness, gratitude, and humility is something very special.

Our Passion: Hospitality from the Heart
For us, the Stubai Valley is more than just a region – it is a place of tranquility, strength, and true freedom. A place where you can take a deep breath, where time passes a little slower, and nature sets the pace.
Whether high up on the summit, surrounded by impressive mountains, or during a quiet moment in the valley – you immediately feel: Here I can let go. Here I can simply be.
Our aim is to provide you with exactly this space. A place where you can leave everyday life behind, recharge your batteries, and collect unforgettable moments of happiness.
We want to create a second home for you – with honest warmth, personal care, and many small details that make your stay special.
Because for us, true hospitality means: You arrive as a guest – and leave with the feeling of having arrived.
What makes us special
many regular guests
a familiar, warm atmosphere where you feel welcome from the very first moment
We personally look after our guests. Whether it’s small tips, recommendations, or personal conversations and shared laughter, these are very important to us.
Encounters at eye level – honest, uncomplicated, and warm
Those who wish to do so will not simply remain a name in the guest register but will become part of our home.
Our mission is to make the best time of your year unforgettable.
That’s what makes the difference:
genuine closeness, genuine conversations, and genuine hospitality.
Reviews
from our guests
Sometimes there are hotels that are “good.” And then there are those where you think to yourself after the very first evening: I don’t actually want to leave. This hotel is exactly that kind of place. The food? To be honest: dangerously delicious. Every course is a hit – you firmly intend to try only “a little bit,” and suddenly the plate is empty again. But the absolute heart of it is the hospitality. The Stern family and their team look after their guests with so much attention and warmth that you feel more like you are with good friends than in a hotel. Whether it is a small request or a spontaneous idea – they truly take care of everything. In short: great food, incredibly caring service, and an atmosphere where you can immediately unwind and feel at home. A real highlight – and definitely a place to which you will gladly return. Many thanks for everything!
We stayed there for a week during our skiing holiday. The accommodation feels very family-oriented and welcoming! From the first step across the threshold, you feel at home. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The wellness/sauna area is perfectly adequate (a bio sauna, a steam sauna, a Finnish sauna, and an infrared cabin) and is also very beautifully designed. The food is absolutely amazing. In the morning, there is a generous buffet with everything your heart desires. In the evening, a 5-course menu leaves nothing to be wished for. The kitchen team really knows what they are doing. The location is good; it takes about 25 minutes by ski bus to the glacier and about 20 minutes to Schlick 2000. This was perfectly fine for me, but it should be noted. We would love to visit the Stern family again – thank you for the great time!
We stayed at Hotel Angelika for the first time and certainly not for the last. We felt very comfortable from the first minute. The friendly welcome, the very nice room with a balcony and a great view of the Stubai Valley, and the sauna is also beautifully designed. For a good start to the day, there is a rich breakfast buffet and various egg dishes freshly prepared from the kitchen. The 6-course menu in the evening is prepared with local ingredients by the chef and his daughters and is beautifully presented – after all, you eat with your eyes first. We will certainly be back.
A very nice skiing holiday in a very friendly and family-run “boutique hotel.” The hotel is located in Neustift, making it a good starting point for the “Schlick 2000” and “Stubai Glacier” ski areas. (The local mountain, “Elfer,” was not yet open in early December). The hotel offers everything we wanted for our skiing holiday (ski cellar, cozy sauna, bus stop in the immediate vicinity). The rooms were very clean and cozy. The service in the dining room was always friendly, attentive, and provided good tips for the day. In my opinion, the excellent food is particularly noteworthy. In short: “arrive and feel at home.”
A very warm and open family business. Super friendly and always cheerful. It puts you in a good mood immediately. The food is delicious. We always book half-board. There is a breakfast buffet with a wide selection. Something for everyone. Dinner is always a five-course menu, and you can choose between two options for the main course. Everything is homemade and prepared on-site. The rose sorbet was something very special for me. But actually, everything is very delicious and a culinary delight. You can taste the passion in the cooking. Different meals can be ordered for children at any time. They are very flexible and accommodating. The attention to detail can be found throughout the hotel, in the traditionally furnished rooms and the lovingly selected decorative elements. You can relax perfectly in the sauna after a strenuous day of hiking. For the children, there is a playroom with a ball pit and foosball. The rooms are always clean. We have been coming to the Stern family for several years and always feel comfortable and very well looked after. Everyone always has a sympathetic ear and tips for the day. Great hotel, great people.
